Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association ( NSSRA ) facilitates yearround recreation programs and services for children , teens , and adults with disabilities who live in 13 northern suburban communities , including Glenview . With nearly 500 recreation , sport , cultural , and social offerings throughout the year , we specialize in introducing participants to new experiences , providing opportunities for skill development and leisure time , and , most importantly , creating space for friendships to thrive .
Services We Offer
NSSRA serves approximately 1,800 individuals with disabilities through our traditional and cooperative programs . Participants range from preschoolers , youth , and teens to adults and seniors . We offer programs at park district facilities , schools , and other locations throughout the northern suburbs .
Inclusion Support
NSSRA ’ s Inclusion support provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy participation in partner agency programs while receiving the individualized support they need to succeed . NSSRA removes the barriers that might prevent participation in the fun and richness of a partner agencies programs and services .

2024 Summer Camps
NSSRA Summer Camps provide campers with recreation and leisure activities during summer . Activities will focus on socialization , independence , motor development , leisure education , and overall well-being through participation .
