Which camp is right for my rising kindergartner ?
All Weinstein JCC camps provide unique opportunities for children to learn and grow ! We invite you to learn more about each option to decide what ' s right for your child . If your child is going to Kindergarten in the Fall , they have the option of attending Camp Hilbert , Specialty Camps or , the Early Childhood program at the Weinstein JCC , Camp Ganim .
However , it is important to note that Camp Hilbert is not able to accommodate rising kindergartners after attending the first session of Camp Ganim . Specialty Camps , however , are an option throughout the summer camp weeks .
We know that transitioning from preschool to kindergarten can be daunting – for both the children and the adults who care for them ! At Camp Hilbert , we understand this and have developed ways to help make this transition easier and more successful for all . Our youngest group of campers ( aka Rishonim ), operate as a “ camp within a camp ” and alongside caring and nurturing counselors , experience new and exciting adventures that will prepare them for kindergarten . Camp Hilbert provides unique opportunities for rising Kindergartners to grow and develop socially , emotionally and physically while also having tons of fun !
Camp Hilbert ’ s outdoor setting provides a unique environment for children to explore and interact with nature , helping to build a child ’ s resiliency , sensory system development and emotional intelligence . Children at Camp Hilbert participate in physical activities that help develop their gross motor skills including twice daily swim periods and athletics . Led by our nature specialist , campers enjoy activities such as building forts , observing wildlife and hiking trails and build valuable skills for safely maneuvering the natural environment around them .
