Find the Perfect Fit: A Camp Experience Tailored for Your Young Camper
Which camp is right for my rising kindergartner?
All Weinstein JCC camps provide unique opportunities for children to learn and grow! We invite you to learn more about each option to decide what ' s right for your child. If your child is going to Kindergarten in the Fall, they have the option of attending Camp Hilbert, Specialty Camps, or the Early Childhood program at the Weinstein JCC, Camp Ganim.
However, it is important to note that Camp Hilbert is not able to accommodate rising kindergartners after attending the first session of Camp Ganim. Specialty Camps, however, are an option throughout the summer camp weeks.
We know that transitioning from preschool to kindergarten can be daunting – for both the children and the adults who care for them! At Camp Hilbert, we understand this and have developed ways to help make this transition easier and more successful for all. Our youngest group of campers( aka Rishonim), operate as a“ camp within a camp” and alongside caring and nurturing counselors, experience new and exciting adventures that will prepare them for kindergarten. Camp Hilbert provides unique opportunities for rising Kindergartners to grow and develop socially, emotionally and physically while also having tons of fun!
Camp Hilbert’ s outdoor setting provides a unique environment for children to explore and interact with nature, helping to build a child’ s resiliency, sensory system development and emotional intelligence. Children at Camp Hilbert participate in physical activities that help develop their gross motor skills including twice daily swim periods and athletics. Led by our nature specialist, campers enjoy activities such as building forts, observing wildlife and hiking trails and build valuable skills for safely maneuvering the natural environment around them.
Families that are registered in the 12-month preschool program are automatically enrolled in Camp Ganim. If you ' re interested in your child attending Hilbert or specialty camps, you must fill out a registration form and then notify the preschool.
Please look for information and applications to be posted on our website January 22.
