wireless. A sure thing is that globally, big data will address millions of devices even in 2018.
This may bring about a problem of how much of this data needs to be in real-time. The
passing of instructions and updating manufacturing processes is fast and is transmitted in no
time at all. When we talk of real-time data we are talking about a continual stream of
instructions passing backwards and forwards constantly. This is a different ball game
altogether. Internet speed and bandwidth immediately come to mind. Definitely the IIoT is
one of the fastest globally growing businesses.
• There are companies addressing the technical hurdles of moving and integrating data and
meeting the growing IIoT. There are also companies with solutions to move data fast, easily
and, remember, it must be moved securely over WAN (Wide area Networks) networks with
low-bandwidth connections. We need to have customer satisfaction by providing service
excellence.
