RESTROOM POLICY
Our goal for small groups in the preschool area
is ten children per team member.
Restrooms are located within the three- and
four-year-olds’ rooms, as well as in the hallway
just outside the rooms.
CALLING FOR PARENTS
Upon signing a child into the preschool classes
(see procedure on facing page), the parent or
guardian will be asked for their location while
their child is in our care. If the parent is in
the Sanctuary or Chapel, the number will be
displayed on the digital call boxes located at
the front of those areas.
If the parent is in a location other than those
two areas, a team member will go to that
location to get the parent.

Children needing to use the restroom will be
escorted by a female team member. The outer
door will remain propped open, and assistance
will be given only if the child asks, but will
not include physically cleaning the child. The
helper will never be behind a closed door with
a child. Restrooms are monitored by the team
leader.
If a child is wearing a diaper or pull-up, and
needs to be changed, the parent will be called
to change their child. Changing stations are
located in the restrooms across from the
resource room, and across from the gym. A
family restroom is also available by Room 243
in the Nursery area.
