This past year, Women’s Bible Study and MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) returned to Calvary in
our new beautiful fellowship area and children’s area. After two years of neighborhood Bible stud-
ies that the Lord greatly used to build our faith and others, we were back to gathering on Tuesday
mornings and Wednesday evenings. As we sought the Lord on our new start, He made it clear we
were to simplify and equip. Simplify so that more women could attend and continue their neighbor-
hood studies. Equip so that men and women would take what they learned and actively live inten-
tionally with a view of eternity. Our Blessed2Bless Prayer Gatherings continued to meet and pray for
six pages of prayer requests at each gathering, related to the outreach studies.
Because of our working together as an adult ministry team, it became clear we were to use the same
Study in all the adult Bible Studies (Monday Night Bible Study, Tuesday Women’s Bible Study,
Wednesday night study and the Young Adults). We were also led to move to an inductive method in
our journey through the Gospel of Mark. Using tools of discovery, we learned how to search for the
treasure in God’s Word. This was especially challenging for those who had only studied the Bible in
a directed fashion. The Lord showed up and 500 men and women experienced the joy of discover-
ing the rich truths in God’s Word through the Mark Bible study.
