Calvary’s Teddy Bear Ministry
Continues to Grow!
The purpose of our Teddy Bear
Ministry is to share God’s love,
care and comfort with those
who are hurting or are in need of
compassion. All teddy bears that
leave Calvary’s doors have sat in
our church pews where they have
absorbed God’s Word and prayers.
Many have been carried up for
communion by congregants to be a
blessing for someone in need.
As of December 31, 2015, almost 3000 Teddy Bears have
left Calvary’s door as an expression of God’s love. We are
blessed to have such a supportive church. Many thanks to
all of you! In December 2015, 21 bears were delivered to
Brandon Health and Rehab Center for Christmas. In addition,
the team visited and delivered 30 bears to the Memory Care
Unit of “Inspirations Care Center” so that all of its residents
would receive a loving little bear just in time for each resident
to get one from Santa at their Christmas Party.
As part of our on-going ministry to the “Mary Martha House,”
we provide bears from time to time. We have been told
that our bears genuinely provide comfort, especially to the
children. This past Christmas, Mary Martha House had an
unfortunately large number of abused women and children
being protected. We were able to deliver 30 bears to them
in loving memory of our late Teddy Bear Ministry sister Lynn
Frassrand.
Thank you Calvary! As you can see, these little bears bring joy
and hope to many who are in real need of love and comfort.
Calvary’s little bear troopers know no boundaries.
