On November 19, 1967, Calvary Lutheran Church officially began with 61 members. Fifty years later, we have grown to over 1100 members, have outgrown our current facility, and are in the process of building a new mission center on 25 acres off Hwy 674 in Ruskin. In commemoration of our 50th anniversary celebration, we are planning several wonderful, community wide events. Our first event, “Food on the Run”, will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at E.G. Simmons Park. This is a community wide 5K run which will be a chip timed event and in addition, a one mile fun walk South Shore Banquet Beach.
