Welcome to the twenty-first century.
God has given us one of the richest ages
for mission the Christian movement
has ever seen. We live in the time of
the great invitation. Welcome to the
best time of your life. Your life will
make a difference for God’s mission.
I have to keep reminding myself of this
“great commission” Christ gives to the
church, but he also gives to you and me.
Over the past four weeks, we have
been going deep into the “values” that
serve as the foundation of Calvary’s
mission and ministry. By now you
should have them all memorized but
to remind you, we are a WELCOMING,
WORSHIPPING, SERVING &
CONNECTING church.
As we begin this Advent season, we
are reminded it is a time of “waiting
and anticipating.” Which is also a
perfect time as we “wait and anticipate”
moving into our new mission center.
I am reminded over and over by our
staff that I need to have patience
during this time of transition. They
also remind me the mission of Calvary,
which is not ours, but one gifted to us
by Jesus, continues to grow.
