This past weekend on May 10th I had an excellent meal at home. My father, Dan, cooks for different types of festivals and does graduations and has cooked for a couple of car dealerships that he works for. He has been doing this job for about three years now. His brother Donny also cooks for competitions down in Texas. They both smoke brisket and pork. My dad has been pulling the pork to make it into pulled pork sandwiches.
I thought the meal was very good. The spices on it were perfectly in moderation and there wasn’t too much of anything. I thought that through out the day that it would never get done. He was smoking it in the smoker for about 18 hours. That is one of the cons about it because you do have to wait for so long to get it done.
I ate more of the pulled pork on a sandwich because it is easier to eat and it tasted better. Most of the time the brisket is better but this time the pulled pork was really good.
The meal itself was very clean as you were getting served it was out of the heating element and very easy to access. While eating it was kind of messy because of the pulled pork. It would be falling out in chunks and was hard to keep in the bread.
My dad was very courteous about his meal because he knew that his food was very good because maybe someone was there and maybe they would have wanted him to cater for one of their events. His food is very good and I would definitely recommend you to try his homemade pulled pork and or his brisket.
Thank you.
