available from what was stored at Ukarumpa proved to be very helpful to the Boushes in their studying
and speaking the language.
Over the years Al and Susan had four children – Betsy, Stephen, Debbie and Christine. These were busy
years as they worked on the New Testament, cared for the needs of their children and also for the needs
of many Tifal children brought by their parents to be treated for various illnesses and sores. There was
travel back and forth between the village and Ukarumpa to attend various workshops, to have their
children attend school at Ukarumpa and to pick up needed supplies at the SIL Members’ Store.
