Golf Lovers…
We all have one thing in common. We are all lovers of golf. We wouldn’t be here if we do not share
our passion for the game. Therefore, I believe we are one big family in golf. As “golf lovers”, I believe
it’s everyone’s responsibility to adhere to the etiquette of golf. It’s very easy to focus on our swing and
our score, but then neglect our responsibility to care for the course we love. As we are growing in
membership, showing our love for golf is more important than ever. So, I would like to take a moment
to go over some of the most common etiquette that we all tend to overlook.
1. Make your tee time in advance and cancel your tee time if you can’t make the reservation.
2. Show up at least 15 minutes before your tee time.
3. Always look your best.
4. Do not stand behind someone as they putt or swing.
5. Do not look for a lost ball for more than two minutes.
6. Do not walk across a players through-line.
7. Do not place your golf bag or pull cart on the tee box or on the green.
8. Keep your temper under control.
9. Respect other people’s time.
10. Lend a hand when you can.
11. Repair the ground you played on.
The above protocol exists to make the game of golf more enjoyable and safer for all golfers. It is
everyone’s responsibility to follow these unspoken rules. Always remember to FOLLOW THE RULES,
BE NICE, AND BE SAFE. Thank you for being a fellow golf lover, and please remember that we are
one big golf-loving family.
With all due respect,
