California TSA Newsletter December 2013 | Page 5

VISHAL’S CORNER State Secretary Hey there California TSA! So this month marks our fourth newsletter! Your State Officer Team put on a great first event of the year this past month at California TSA’s First Annual Chapter Officer Development Day. Despite the attendance being under par to our expectations, we are glad to say that those who were able to attend did gain from the experience. This event served as a learning experience for the Officer Team and helped us put CA TSA into perspective as we hope to further increase membership throughout the state. Now as November turns to December, we come to the end of the first semester of the school year. For you seniors out there I hope you had the chance to enjoy you last thanksgiving as an everyday member of the family by submitting your UC and CSU apps early! I wish you all the best with your remaining apps and advise you not to procrastinate so that you have the opportunity to enjoy your last winter break as a high school student! For the rest of you, finish the semester off strong and treat yourselves out during break. On a more personal level, December is my favorite month of the year Who doesn’t love the cheery atmosphere, the Christmas songs, the lights up and down every street, and the cool, crisp air? In these upcoming weeks, I hope to hit the slopes a couple times and spend time with my family. Most importantly, this month brings my 18th birthday! So finally I would like to wish you all a very Happy Holidays and I hope you all enjoy the rest of 2013! Contact Vishal at [email protected]
