“The goal of all police agencies is to have a better-trained
and more educated police force, and with more officers
today starting their careers with four-year degrees, the
education part of the equation has become easier,” Nichelini
said.
Menlo Park Police Chief Bryan Roberts has a master’s
degree in public administration and has completed the
master’s program at the Naval Postgraduate School Center
for Homeland Defense and Security.
“Advanced degrees help us maintain the professionalism

environment, and law enforcement leaders and executives
need to be lifetime learners. Advanced degrees help sharpen
