From move-in day
to chapter visits, our year
as state officers has been jam-packed. The team started off the year with
BLAST OFF training and the National Leadership Conference for State
Officers, where we were able to bond as a team and learn more about
the year ahead. This was followed by the Regional Officer Leadership
Conference and industry tours. ROLC was held at Scicon in Springville,
where the six regional officer teams came together for teambuilding and
workshops. In the months of August and September we spent a majority of
the time going to many different industry tours, such as Driscoll Berries and
Full Belly Farms. We spent time packing CSA boxes, harvesting flax seed,
picking pears, feeding the animals, and sleeping in the walnut orchard,
which was one of our favorite parts!

Along with industry tours, we went to the six different regions to attend their
Chapter Officer Leadership Conferences. The first one we attended was
the San Joaquin Region’s Boot Camp, held back at Scicon. Boot Camp
was three days of excitement, from teambuilding activities to a spectacular
obstacle course. The second COLC we went to was Superior’s, held at
Mountain Meadows Bible Camp in Shingletown. We spent two days
camping, facilitating workshops, hanging with members, and trying out
the amazing water slide. We then went to the North Coast COLC held at
Analy High School, in Sebastopol. With North Coast, we experienced our
first COLC lip sync - which was unforgettable! The Central COLC was held
at Denair High School. The two-day COLC was incredibly fun with over
350 members in attendance. The days were filled with workshops and an
Amazing Race event to end the conference. We then went to the South
Coast COLC held at San Benito High School in Hollister. The conference
was jam-packed with exciting events such as a parade, workshops, lip
sync, and dance. Finally, to end the COLC season, the team finished
with the Southern COLC held at Indio High School. From theme skits to keynote
