Calhovn's Miscellanie Vol 1 | Page 7

To our dear Readers,

As we flit from flower to flower, collecting only the most sensational scents--from ravishing roses to lovely lilies--our duty as the busy-bees of this beautiful bouquet requires that we stop,

take a deep breath

and smell the flowers.

With noses in books, pens in hands and flowers in hearts, we delved into the dusty gardens of libraries, hunted the deep crevices of databases and excitedly explored online sources to present to you this flowery collection of the most sensational scents which we bound into these petaled pages.

One funny thing about scents, dear Reader, is how variable they are in the open air. The balmy breeze may carry the minty aroma of good luck. A wind may carry both the stench of the cavorting columbine or the sweet incense of the innocent lily with equal ease. Perchance fragrant rosemary will perfumate you with its scent of remembrance.
