My mule as my requeft with wel,
to the great puifante mate
And fecretarie to Nero
that much renowmed ffate,
If he inquire once after me,
or question what I do,
Say me to threaten many things,
and goodly matters to.
To live not well,, nor pleafauntlye:
not for becaufe the hayle,
Bothe brufe my bi’es, or parching heate
myne olyves doth affayle.
Nor that my neate do go in feldes
frome home remoued longe:
But that I am in minde then corpes
leffe well at eafe and fftonge.
Wrothe with my leaches, and my felfe
for that they do reftraine
