are a Canadian indie rock band, formed in 1996 in Calgary, Alberta. Danny Vacon is The Dudes' major creative force in the band. The group also includes guitarist Bob Quaschnick, bassist Brock Geiger and newest member Matt Doherty on drums. Critics have likened their musical style to Modest Mouse, although band members cite their influences as The Flaming Lips, The Descendents, Joel Plaskett and Weezer.

The Dudes gained popularity nationwide for both for their lo-fi approach to recording and their live stage-show. Their 2006 album, Brain Heart Guitar, featured the hit singles "Do The Right Thing" and "Dropkick Queen of the Weekend" which was heard nationwide in Rogers Wireless TV commercial. "The Girl Police" from Blood Guts Bruises Cuts (2009), "American Girl" and "Tear It Up" from Barbers, Thieves, and Bartenders (2012) became radio hits on CBC, Earshot and rock radio stations across the country.

They have shared the stage and toured Canada, Europe and the United States with the likes of Matthew Good, Mother Mother, Weezer, Poor Young Things, Bryan Adams, Pride Tiger, Two Hours Traffic, Hot Hot Heat and Finger Eleven.

The Dudes new single "Everybody Dies Too Soon"is the first song off of their new album set for release in late 2016/early 2017.
