Autumn in Calais
Calais has a variety of places to visit. There is the museum of beaux arts, and the war museum. There are of course other museums to visit such as the lace museum. There is a boat trip along the canal. There are the parks, and the beaches too.

The war museum is situated in St Pierre Park, opposite the town hall. It is situated inside a bunker used by the Germans when the town was occupied during Wold War 2.
It doesnt't cost a lot of money to go and have a look around. You will see model displays, photos and drawings that are poignant to the war. You will see ammunition on display as well as mannequins dressed in costumes of the day.
One weekend a year the museum is free for all visitors. It doesn't cost a lot and if you are interested in modern history, it is a place in which you will experience it. It is definitely worth a visit if you have time.
