Almost a year has past when a local girl called Camille Cerf originally from Calais got elected as Miss France.
Calais has one of the most magnificant town halls in Northern France. It is rich in hisory and well worth visiting if you are in the town.

When the weather is nice Calais has a nice sandy beach in which you can visit. There you can observe the coastline of England in the distance, and see the ships coming in and out of the harbour.
Most of the visitors that come to Calais like to eat Oysters. It has become a popular dish, which is sold in the local restaurants.
