THOUSANDS OF SYDNEYSIDERS SHOW THEIR SWEET (& SAVOURY) TOOTH Early November, the Cake Bake & Sweets Show returned to Sydney for 2019, this year co-locating with the exciting launch of For the Love of Cooking, the first show designed specifically for home cooks. Both events from GL Exhibitions, welcomed over 13,000 visitors over the three days – a 30% increase on attendees from 2018 – proving that if there’s one thing Sydneysiders love, it’s good food! Held in the ICC Sydney, the events showcased a diverse range of local businesses, giving visitors the opportunity to explore everything from sweet and savoury treats to the latest in cooking and baking equipment, all available via interactive stands, hands-on classes, and demonstrations. The events also attracted some of the country’s leading celebrity chefs and cake artists, with Katherine Sabbath, Kirsten Tibballs, Anna Polyviou and Miguel Maestre demonstrating live on stage. Exhibitors applauded both events with many selling out thanks to a buzzing show floor - a testament to the show’s success. GL Exhibitions Events & Portfolio Director, Shinu Pillai, said, “We are thrilled with the success of the two shows. The launch of For the Love of Cooking alongside the much-loved Cake Bake & Sweets Show allowed us to appeal to wider demographic, and gave Australia the first show dedicated to the home cook. We have received great feedback from our exhibitors who experienced great support from the industry and general public collectively, and we are ecstatic with the result. We hope to replicate the same success at the Melbourne event.” The Melbourne editions of Cake Bake & Sweets Show and For the Love of Cooking will take place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from the 29 November – 1 December 2019. Both events will return to Sydney and Melbourne in October 2020. Grab your Melbourne admission tickets on http://www.cakebakeandsweets.com/
