The Christmas Candle Cake
Step 1:
Enrobe a 6” cake with fondant. Set aside.
Step 3:
Knead and roll to a ball twice the amount of
what you would consume to cover the top.
Step 2:
Take a tealight candle and wrap the case
with aluminum foil.
Step 4:
Roll out fondant starting from the sides to
create what would look like a little hill. The
height of the hill is based on the thickness of
the tealight case.
Step 5:
Use the tealight case to measure the
diameter of the hole you are going to cut out
from hill. This will look like a volcano. Step 6:
Lightly brush the top of the cake with a
little water and place the rolled out fondant
volcano on top of the cake.
Step 7:
Smooth the sides of the cake shoulder and
pinch the excess to create drips. Step 8:
Brush with desired lustre or pearl dust to
create a shimmery effect on the cake.
