LAST YEAR YOU MOVED YOUR BUSINESS INTO A PURPOSE-BUILT STUDIO. WHAT HAS BEEN THE BEST THING ABOUT HAVING YOUR OWN SPACE? I did! I’m really lucky. The best thing about having the space is that everything is in one place, rather than scattered in different cupboards throughout the house. I also really love that clients have their own entry, so my family are not impacted by clients coming to the house so much anymore. Also, once I’m finished for the day, I can shut the door and walk away. WHAT ARE YOUR TIPS FOR DESIGNING A CAKE STUDIO? Really, the only thing I did was consult council on their requirements and made sure I was complying with them. I didn’t go too gung-ho into storage in the beginning as I really didn’t know what I wanted. I’ve been sorting it out as I go and living with it for a bit so I know what I really need in the space.
