Step 14:
Using the needle scribe, settle
any overlapped icing so it is
smooth looking.

Add a little more detail with a leaf
garland and a few small dots.
Decorating the Rattle
Step 16:
Using green outline consistency,
pipe a ring at bottom of
rattle. Using outline and flood
consistency, pipe the next ring
on the rattle.

Using outline consistency, pipe
a dot. Tip: for a perfect bead
circle, keep your piping tip in
the centre point and squeeze
your icing bag until you reach
your desired dot size, rather than
trying to ‘draw’ a circle.
Add the second part of the rattle
using white flood consistency
icing.
Add some detail, all with outline
consistencies. Here, we added
a pretty string bow and another
leaf garland.
