Step 7:
Using your extruder, pick a round tip that will match the thickness of
your wavy puddle. Extrude a long orange rope.
Step 8:
Place a small amount of water
around the edge of the puddle.
Decide where the back of your cake
will be and begin to trim the edge of
the puddle with the orange rope.
“A SWEET TIP”
You can make this cake board treatment in advance. Just
remember to keep it in a dark place so the colours do not
fade in the daylight. You can also place a ribbon around
the edge of the board (see Cake Assembly). It is easier to
put the ribbon on the board after the cake is assembled
so it doesn’t move around.
