Dale Gerke
of A Little Nonsense
My name is Dale Gerke and my little cake business is A Little Nonsense, 
based in Kelmscott, Western Australia. The name “A Little Nonsense” is from
a quote from Roald Dahl, author of my favourite childhood book “Charlie and
the Chocolate Factory”.  The idea of having my own bizarre, nonsensical and
fun sweet factory has always appealed to me. I have studied both Patisserie
and Art and Design, and now with my cakes I can combine the two to make
my own spectacular creations! What started as a hobby has quickly grown 
into a business. 
I love to create fun cakes with wow factor, especially hand painting cakes.
The reaction from my customers when they see their cake is truly satisfying,
it makes me feel like I have the best job in the world.
