Step 1:
Take one stamen and cut the
head off each end. Then with fine
scissors cut one end repeatedly
to create the pistil.

Step 4:
Roll out some flower paste and
using a No 52 Gem cutter, cut out
six petals. Thin the edges of each
petal with a ball tool also widening
slightly. Insert a damp 28 gauge
white wire 1/3 of the way into the
petal. Using a wheel tool run a line
down the centre then repeat either
side, ending up with 3 vein lines.
Lightly dust the lower 1/3 of the
petal with lemon yellow.
Repeat for remaining petals.

Step 2:
Take three stamen and cut the
heads of each end. Place a tiny
ball of flower paste on the end of
one and work the paste down the
stamen. Repeat twice.

Step 5:
Place first petal at the same height
as the three stamens and tape in
place. Add remain two central
petals evenly spaced and tape.
Add the 3 outer petals centering
them in the gaps and tape.

Step 3:
Take a 24 gauge white wire and
attach the pistil and 3 stamens
with half width green florist tape.
Make sure the pistil is slightly
longer. Dust the lower 1/3 with
lemon yellow.

Step 7:
Roll out some pale green flower
paste and using a No 29 Gem
cutter or a small rose petal shape,
cut out a petal. Thin the edges of
the petal with a ball tool. Dust with
moss green then cut in half.

Step 6:
Roll a pea size piece of flower
paste into a ball then into a teardrop thread up wire to the base of
the petals. Work the paste down
the wire thinning out as you go, cut
any excess off at the end. Dust the
base of the petals with apple green
and half way down the section you
have just added. Then from the
base of the flower where the calyx
will be placed brush up with moss
green.

Step 10:
Roll out some pale green flower
paste and using a No 29 Gem
cutter or a small rose petal shape,
cut out a petal. Thin the edges of
the petal with a ball tool and then
cut in half. To attach the calyx
place curved edge to the top, wrap
calyx around the bud securing
with a little water or edible glue.
Work base between your fingers to
blend in with stem. Dust calyx with
moss green.

Step 8:
To attach the calyx place the
dusted side down and curved
edge to the top, wrap calyx around
the flower base securing with a
little water or edible glue. Work
base between your fingers to blend
in with stem. Dust calyx with moss
green.

Step 9:
To create the buds for the freesia
you will need 3 different sizes. First
take 1/2 a pea size ball of pale
green flower paste and roll into
a teardrop shape. Mark 3 evenly
spaced lines into bud with wheel
tool, then insert a damp 28 gauge
wire. Dust with moss green chalk.

Step 11:
To create the second bud take a
pea size ball of pale green flower
paste and roll into a teardrop
shape. Mark 3 evenly spaced lines
into bud with wheel tool, then insert
a damp 28 gauge wire. Dust with
moss green chalk.

Step 12:
Roll out some well kneaded pale
green flower paste and using a
No 29 Gem cutter or a small rose
petal shape, cut out a petal. Thin
the edges of the petal with a ball
tool and then cut in half. To attach
the calyx place curved edge to the
top, wrap calyx around the bud
securing with a little water or edible
glue. Work base between your
fingers to blend in with stem. Dust
calyx with moss green.
