To make the stigma use a small amount of paste and shape into an oval/cone shape. Insert 18g wire with hook
wrapped with a bit of floral tape around hook and wrapping down wire a touch. Dip in glue or egg white. Make
3 indents on the top and then start pinching to encourage 3 pointed shapes to occur. Allow to dry completely
before dusting with colour.
Roll out petal paste (gum paste) quite thinly on a grooved Cellboard. You need to have a groove for the wire.
Cut 3 smaller petals and 3 larger ones with the tulip cutter. Always make a couple extra for each flower in case
of breakages. Use a little Crisco smeared on the board before rolling out.
Put a very small amount of sugar glue
or egg white on the end and insert
a 24g wire.
Put wired petal in veiner and push firmly, remove carefully.
Place veined petal on a foam pad and thin out edges of petal with the end of a Celpin or balling tool. With the
pointed end of the pin or Dresden tool start pulling/stretching away from the edge of the petal , to the point of
almost tearing. A few tears here and there is a good thing. Be organic.
