My name is Amy, I am the artist and owner of ‘Inspired Cakes – by
Amy’.
My longstanding passion for creating art and sculpture lead me to
undertake a degree in fine arts. After having my children I
remembered how wonderful it was when my own mother would
make special birthday cakes for me and set out to make memorable
birthdays for my own children. Along the way I discovered my
passion for cake art.
The overwhelming response to these cakes for my children
prompted me to launch “Inspired Cakes – by Amy in 2016. Every
cake presents new opportunities to expand my skills and explore
new and different techniques. I take special pleasure in creating
new and exciting cakes, often with a largely sculptural component
and delight in being given interesting themes to work towards.
I feel extremely privileged to be asked to provide centrepieces for
all occasions.
