Start applying the overhanging curved strips around the bottom tier. These should
support themselves on the royal icing coat easily as long as they are very thin
strips. For the wider strips, use an acupuncture needle to support while the royal
icing dries completely.

Dust the throat of the Catleyas with some bronze dust,
as well as where the petals and sepals join in. Dust the buds lightly with
bronze dust.

Start airbrushing your metallics onto the cake. Start with gold at the top and
working your way down to rose gold, bronze and dark bronze. TIP: No airbrush?
You can paint it! It will take longer of course, but the final product will be similar. Arrange the orchids, buds and decorative wires. If you are making a real cake, remember to use posy picks for
your sugar flowers when inserting them into the cake.
