of Blissful Inspirations - Cakes & Sweets
My name is Helen Hatzaras founder of Blissful Inspirations Cakes and Sweets
Creator of delicious custom-made cakes for all occasions. My goal is to make
each client’s special day a memorable one by creating a unique customised
design making it a highlight of their event
So how did I manage to get here?
It all started in my mum’s kitchen. I remember always being by her side baking
our traditional Greek cakes and sweets. At the age of 14, I baked my first birth-
day cakes for both my younger sisters, using the 1 st Edition of the Australian
Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book 1980.
I was inspired to continue baking and utilize my artistic flare thanks to family’s
encouragement. I studied Art and Design at TAFE and for most of my career I
worked in a corporate based environment which was great for a consistent in-
come and quality of life though it wasn’t my dream job. I realised I wanted to
comb ine my passion for baking and love for art and turn it into a career.
This is where Blissful Inspirations started to became a reality. Starting my own
business was a risk and a challenge as I knew little about this industry.
My husband Michael who I have been married to for 26 years has been my big-
gest fan. His ongoing support and encouragement have enabled me to pursue
my passion.
Joining ACDN group has been a blessing, I have had the pleasure of meeting
so many talented cake artists who have been so supportive with their knowl-
edge and diverse skills which I greatly appreciate. This group also allows us to
showcase our creations each week with the Member Monday Choice Awards
which is sponsored by Bake and Deco Warehouse. I love seeing everyone’s
creations each week and am in awe and inspired with their talent.
So, it came as a surprise to read in the ACDN magazine that I was awarded the
Member Monday winner for the month of May 2018. I was so thrilled and hon-
oured to have my work recognised with this award. The winning design was my
Sliced Fondant creation which was inspired by viewing Sedar Yeners tutorial, it
is an amazing technique and I absolutely love incorporating it in other cake
designs.
In conclusion, I am very grateful to all my family & friends who have supported
my journey so far by continuously ordering their cakes through me. I also wish
to thank all my clients and appreciate their ongoing support because without
them Blissful Inspirations Cakes and Sweets would not exist.
