Step 8:
Allow to dry uncovered for at least 6 or overnight. Add a flower on the hat by piping a dot and pulling the tip in toward the centre to create a petal shape. Add a stalk and a dot in the centre. Pipe random squiggly lines to add texture to the clown’ s hair. Pipe lines on the ru ffle in contrasting colours. Pipe ruffles at the wri sts and ankles. Add a highlight to each shoe by piping a comma shape with white icing.
Step 5:
Outline the pants and flood one leg only. Immediately pipe stripes over the wet icing in a contrasting colour.
Step 6:
Flood the other leg and immediately pipe some dots in a contrasting colour into the wet icing. Add the pom pom into the hat and flood the bottom sections of the shoes.
Step 7:
Pipe outlines for the neck ruffle and arms. Outline and flood the suspenders. Flood the arms and pipe dots immediately into the wet icing. Flood the neck ruffle and pipe dots for buttons on the pants. Flood the middle section of the shirt as you did with the arms. Complete the rest of the shirt.
Step 9: Step 10:
Pipe the nose. For the eyes, using the black food colour pen, draw two teardrop shapes. Draw two lines across the centre of the eye to create three sections. With the pens colour the first section black, the second section blue and leave the third section blank.
Add two small highlight dots of white icing in each eye. Draw eyebrows and some little accents or laugh lines at the bottom of the eyes. Using a small food only paint brush, lightly dust the cheeks with pink petal dust. Draw the smile. Finally, add small dots of white icing on each cheek and a highlight on the nose.
