1 . The process begins with your customer contacting you to place an order for an upcoming event , wedding or birthday where you continue to discuss the details of the order getting as much information about what they ’ re looking for .
2 . You would then open Bake Diary on your phone , tablet or laptop and confirm availability first . If you are available to take on the order you would then create a new order or quote by entering the details of the event along with adding the items needed for your order . If you use recipes and supplies you ’ ll be able to accurately and quickly work out what you should be charging for your order .
3 . Next you save the order and either send the invoice to the customer for confirmation and payment if you have their email address , or alternatively download a pdf version of the invoice that you can send through WhatsApp or messages .
4 . If you have enabled online payments by connecting your Square or Stripe account , your customer will have the ability to instantly pay the booking fee or full payment online as soon as they receive the invoice .
5 . Once a payment has been made , you will receive an email notification from us and the status of the order will be automatically updated within Bake Diary , so you always know what ’ s happening .
6 . The last step is to simply do what you do best and bake , decorate and deliver the order . It ’ s that easy !
