Step 22: Step 23:
Mark the writing ‘BE HAPPY’
lightly on the cookie with an
edible marker.
Cover each letter on the cookie

allow to dry.
Step 24:
Use a black edible marker to

the base of the white icing.
Additional Notes:
• My sugar cookie recipe & tutorial is available on my Facebook page:

• Icing consistencies: I used medium consistency icing in this tutorial. It is thicker than flood icing,
so it will create a nice puffy icing with less risk of cratering (or the middle section caving in) for the
smaller sections. If you would like to know more about different types of icing consistencies please
refer to my royal icing consistencies video tutorial:

• Cookie cutter used for this tutorial:
Funky Rainbow cutter (I used a circle cutter trimmed slightly at the bottom) part of this nested
cutter: https://amzn.to/3jexvfG
Funky Heart cutter:

Hexagon cutter - I used part of this nested cutter: https://amzn.to/30n9fPW
• Edible Markers: Rainbow Dust double ended pens are great for drawing or marking on royal icing;
however to mark guidelines on the cookie itself I found Foodoodler edible markers work better.
