It is with pride and gratitude that I introduce Central Asia Institute’ s 2025 Impact Report. This past year, alongside our local partners, CAI not only expanded our reach— we deepened our impact on individual lives. As you read the pages that follow, consider how your generosity is changing futures: a girl from an isolated village in northern Pakistan goes to school, excels, and returns as a principal; a young Afghan woman, once confined to her home, gains financial independence and purpose by launching a small dairy business. These are just a few of the transformations your support makes possible.
This report also highlights CAI’ s commitment to high-quality programming that delivers meaningful results. In Afghanistan, where 90 % of 10-year-olds cannot read a simple text, all fourth-grade students in CAI-supported schools demonstrate strong reading skills based on independent assessments. Across our programs, women entrepreneurs are not only learning new skills— they are building sustainable businesses, increasing household incomes by 50 to 420 percent.
None of this would be possible without you. At a time when so much feels uncertain, we hope this report brings you a sense of hope, knowing you are making a lasting difference— one girl, one boy, one community at a time.
