When the weather is hot and windy, veld fires start quickly.
If you see a veld fire, report it immediately to an adult or call the emergency services …
Remember, fire moves quickly … you have no time to stand watching it. Move away fast. The fire can outrun you and you could be trapped.
If you can’ t get away, find a safe zone.
