Enhanced User Interface
The user interface is now capable of executing on any browser currently on the market today. This includes browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc. Further, its skin-based design enables it to run on any device that is capable of running a browser, including PCs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Multi-Source Background Maps
Street maps – including satellite images – can now readily appear as background for displays of outside plant or vehicle locations. This data can be obtained from a variety of sources, including popular web-based sources, such as Google, Bing, or Yahoo!, as well as the latest release of MapGuide.
Open Interface
The open interface allows external fault management systems to connect, and send event data, to spatialNavigator. Using information from the outside plant equipment or feeder facilities that have failed, the failures can be correlated to loop facilities, and ultimately the subscribers served by those facilities. This enables the carrier to identify specific subscribers who may be impacted by current equipment outages, so that action can be taken prior to customer complaint.
Features
• Ability to open a published interface supporting receipt of outside plant failure data
• The data received regarding failures are correlated to loop facilities, and the subscribers served by those facilities.
• Optional layouts for data collected on affected subscribers can be displayed in either a graphical or tabular format
