Enhanced User Interface
The user interface is now capable of executing on any browser currently on the market today . This includes browsers such as Internet Explorer , Firefox , Safari , Chrome , etc . Further , its skin-based design enables it to run on any device that is capable of running a browser , including PCs , laptops , tablets , and smartphones .
Multi-Source Background Maps
Street maps – including satellite images – can now readily appear as background for displays of outside plant or vehicle locations . This data can be obtained from a variety of sources , including popular web-based sources , such as Google , Bing , or Yahoo !, as well as the latest release of MapGuide .
Open Interface
The open interface allows external fault management systems to connect , and send event data , to spatialNavigator . Using information from the outside plant equipment or feeder facilities that have failed , the failures can be correlated to loop facilities , and ultimately the subscribers served by those facilities . This enables the carrier to identify specific subscribers who may be impacted by current equipment outages , so that action can be taken prior to customer complaint .
