Brattle And One team in the second week of the season. BBC actually led for most of the first half, but a strong offnsive effor for Jeff Shen really put the game away in the second half as clutch free throws and three-pointers shut the door for BBC down the stretch.

"It was an intense game all around," Haff said. "It would have been great to start 1-1, but we couldn't put a full 44 minutes together against the defense of Brattle And One."

As the season dragged on, Haff and Co. managed to always be on time for their games and have a full squad. One time he even had more guys than the stat sheet could handle.

"Everyone just wants to have a good time," said female teammate Becky Eastman. "We may not be playing good enough for a W, but we are playing to enjoy the game and relieve some stress from the day at work."

Then came the shining moment in the playoffs.

Boston Beer Company played their hearts out, but eventually lost 60-47 to Beacontown Beavers on Wednesday night.

Boston Beer Company came out firin and held the 14-12 edge after a three-point play from Nick Gosselin. A three-pointer from Matt Keohan made it 15-14 the next possessions and Beacontown Beavers ran from there. The lead was 29-20 at the half.

The lead was up to 16 for Beacontown Beavers in the second half, but Boston Beer Company cut the lead to 11 with a three-point shot from Gosselin off the backboard to make it 56-45. A putback late from Matt Romeling made it 60-45 to end the season for Boston Beer Company.

William Wolven scored a game-high 20 points. Keohan finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Eric Gormley and Gosselin each scored a team-high 12 points for Boston Beer Company.

According to Gormley, "We played our hearts out that night. We may have lost by double digits, but it waSs more of a moral victory at that point."

It was a tough way to end the season, but not every team gets the chance to go winless or undefeated its first season. It may be a rare feat to not get a win in a season like this, but it is still one for the record books.

"It will be great to see how we do when we hopefully come back in the winter," said Haff after the final game. "We have softball starting up soon and that league takes priority over something like this."

The CAC spring sessions may finally be over, but BBC will be a welcome commodity whenever they do decide to come back to the Corporate league
