“Prost” to Europe

I’ve travelled a lot on my own. While
most of my adventures have been safe,
I have had my wallet stolen and was once
robbed by several giant men in a parade (it’s
a long story). Those were all wrong place,
wrong time incidents, but there is something
to be said for not having to worry about
your safety. Travelling with a group and an
experienced guide offers real comfort and
security. Rather than watching your back,
you can concentrate on what’s in front of you
and how much fun you’re having.
My Milan-to-Munich trip was a
trifecta of personal firsts: my
first time in Europe, first coach tour
and my first time working with a Caa
Travel Consultant. The biggest take-
away from the experience? The sheer
amount of, well, everything that we
packed into seven days! If I’d booked
a weeklong European holiday on my
own, there’s not a chance I would’ve
been able to plan or afford even half
of what we did. From city bike tours
and sipping pints in a beer garden to
savouring world-class pasta and sail-
ing on Italian lakes, I can now say from
experience: Guided touring rocks!
