No matter if you’re a visitor to Saskatoon or
longtime resident, cruising the South Saskatchewan
River is one of the most scenic ways to see the
Bridge City. The Prairie Lily makes it possible, with
easygoing voyages up and down the waterway. Under
the able guidance of retired Canadian naval officer
Mike Steckhan, the 19.5-metre-long riverboat glides

with fall colours and shore-side homes, while offering
narrative tidbits on Saskatoon’s storied history. In
addition to its regular hour-long tours, the ship also
hosts three-course dinner and buffet brunch cruises,
as well as peaceful sunset trips on Friday nights.
You can board the boat on the river’s west bank, near
Kinsmen Park. The Prairie Lily plies the waters
