Dear KeHE Supplier:
KeHE is committed to providing our mutual customers a best-in-class supply chain and distribution experience. To achieve this, we expect our suppliers(“ Suppliers”) and other supply chain partners to work together with us to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our operations. A critical component of the customer experience is achieving an outbound fill rate level that exceeds our customer’ s expectations.
With this in mind, KeHE has created this Inbound Routing Guide & Product Handling Requirements(“ Inbound Routing Guide”), and its accompanying Inbound Routing Guide Fee Schedule and KeHE Inbound Routing Guide Distribution Center Contact Lis(“ KeHE DC Contact List”). These documents cover routing, scheduling, documentation, and packaging of merchandise for shipment to KeHE distribution centers or other specified locations, as well as any fees or charges associated with KeHE’ s services or non-compliance, including, but not limited to, parameters to address situations where poor Inbound On-Time performance is impacting our ability to service customers. We firmly believe both KeHE and our Suppliers will mutually benefit from these procedures which are designed to enhance the overall efficiency of merchandise handling, controlling costs, and ultimately improving customer service.
Additionally, specific temperature-controlled products may require additional in-transit temperature monitoring. Suppliers providing KeHE with scombrotoxin( histamine)-forming seafood and related products(“ Histamine Producing Products”) must comply with KeHE’ s food safety protocols to ensure the incoming products were handled properly during refrigerated transportation from the Supplier to KeHE’ s DC. Continuous monitoring of in-transit temperature of refrigerated Histamine Producing Products is required. The expectations set forth in the KeHE Supplier In-Transit Temperature Monitoring of Refrigerated Scombrotoxin( Histamine)-Forming Seafood & Related Products Program Protocols and Requirements(“ Supplier Histamine Products In-Transit Temp Monitoring Requirements”), incorporated herein by reference, are the protocols and requirements of Seafood HACCP and Sanitation Controls for transportation of Histamine Producing Products to KeHE DCs.
KeHE will provide Supplier access to KeHE’ s internet website for Suppliers, currently the KeHE CONNECT Supplier ® Portal. KeHE will use the KeHE CONNECT Supplier ® Portal to communicate information to Suppliers, as well as access to all forms, schedules, contact information, and supporting documents noted in the KeHE Supplier Policies & Procedures, including, but not limited to, this Inbound Routing Guide. KeHE reserves the right to amend or modify the Inbound Routing Guide, including its Inbound Routing Guide Fee Schedule, KeHE DC Contact List, and Supplier Histamine Products In-Transit Temp Monitoring Requirements, by communicating modifications and / or amendments on the KeHE CONNECT Supplier ® Portal. In such instances, KeHE will provide Supplier with sufficient reasonable notice, and in no event less than thirty( 30) days in writing on the KeHE CONNECT Supplier ® Portal; however, KeHE reserves the right to revise immediately if due to health and safety concerns. Supplier is required to monitor the KeHE CONNECT Supplier ® Portal for any updates.
