The COD( Collect, Prepaid, 3 rd Party)/ Freight Charge Terms must be checked on all BOLs. This is especially important on LTL shipments.

( a) Handling Unit
• Quantity & type, e. g., pallet, slip-sheet, etc.
• Quantity should match individual pallet labeling, i. e. pallet labels showing 1 of 3, 2 of 3 and 3 of 3 should match total count of 3 on BOL.
• If pallets are double stacked, note this, e. g., 8 pallets double stacked into 4 positions.
( b) Package Quantity & type, e. g.
( c) Grand Total of Handling Units, Cases, and Weight of Shipment
( d) National Motor Freight Classification( NMFC)

• Commodity Class

10 TEMPERATURE REQUIREMENTS
• All product temperature requirements must be indicated on the BOL, including, but not limited to, seasonal temperature requirements( such as, DO NOT MELT or DO NOT FREEZE during specific months of the year).
• If not indicated and the product arrives above or below the KeHE minimum temperature requirements, KeHE reserves the right to hold the shipper responsible for all returned product and related freight cost including the cost of the original inbound freight charge.
• The shipper will also be responsible for any backorder and reshipment of the original PO and will assume all expenses including the cost of freight.
11 SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
12 SUPPLIER DELIVERED NOTE
For Supplier Delivered loads, add the following note to BOL:“ All unloading, sorting and segregating charges to be billed to the Shipper.”
