„Mom, please no!!! It only will make the situation even worse,” I started to beg her. „I’m not listening
to you. It is decided!” she walked away and I started to cry. My whole life is literally going to be
ruined tomorrow.
Next day I woke up with a bad feeling. My mother went in the morning to the principal. It turned out
that there is monitoring and my bullies were recognised. He punished them by banishing from lacrosse
and cheerleading teams. When I heard this I was terrified. I knew that they will take their anger out on
me. And I was right about it. They found me in bathroom after third lesson. Boys hit me in my
stomach and legs. It was so painful and awful! However, girls poured out a milkshake from our
canteen on me. It was the worst day of my life! After this, I ran away from school to my house. My
mom saw me and started to cry. „Oh, my poor child! What did they do to you?” „Mom...I can’t stand it
anymore. My whole body is in pain!”I hugged her. „We have to go to the hospital to take care of your
wounds and to school to check you out. I cannot let you go there again.” „Thank you, mom. You are
amazing! I hope that my next school will not discriminate me and my religion, because I am proud of
who I am.” „Me too, my child,” she said with gratitude and big smile on her face. A message of the
story is that no one should laugh about someone’s religion and culture. No child should be treated
unfairly on any basis. We all deserve respect from other people.
