didn’t see each other for a long, long time. As the time passed, they all lost the count of it and their hopes of being free and together again left them. The time was escaping from their hands. At least Noel and Katya were together, and their parents knew it so they weren’t that scared because Noel could look after Katya and care for her in that jail. They spent a whole year in the prison, without seeing the light outside. They were tortured and shown how to use complex war armament. They were forced to do everything the soldiers wanted making puppets out of them. One day, a couple of soldiers walked into the kids' prison and took them to a truck with other 12 children. They were going to be moved again, to a higher security prison this time, where neither them nor the adults could escape. But on their way there, they heard a very loud noise from the outside of the truck. They got really scared and suddenly, the truck stopped abruptly and silence came. They thought the worse would happen. They heard the soldiers getting down the truck to see what happened and leaving it alone for a while. The back door opened unexpectedly, but there weren’t any soldiers there as they had expected, they saw their parents! The kids went straight to them to hug them. Mum- Lower your voice, we don’t want the soldiers back yet. We’ve distracted them with little harmless bombs, but we don’t have much time. Dad- Now, back up and to your seats, we have loads to do before they come back. Noel- What do we have to do? I know I’m the oldest here and I am going to help all of them because I care about them.
