VALUE WHAT YOU HAVE (Art. 5) 2058, in San Diego, California, America, Jack, a 12 year old kid, lives only with his father Harry, because his mother died when he was only 2 months old. Since then, they’ve been living with each other. At first, it was difficult for Harry to take care of his son Jack. He did his best to keep going and he finally got it. Jack grew up and they both had a cosy home. Jack continued growing up and consecutively he asked for things that his dad couldn’t afford. When Jack turned 12, he wanted a PlayStation 4 and he didn’t understand why his dad didn’t have enough money. He only wanted the same things that his friends had. Jack: -Dad, why don’t you buy me a PlayStation 4? I want it, all my friends have it and I don’t. You hate me so much! Harry: - Son, there's no money, how do you suggest I buy it? Do you want me to rob a bank or something like that? – Says Harry- We don’t have money and we owe a lot of debts. Jack: - Well the usual excuse, right? Harry: - It isn’t an excuse, it’s the pure reality. Jack: - Accept it dad, you don’t want to buy me anything because you don’t love me! Harry: - I said no and that's it. Go to your room to study. That is what you should be doing.
