-I think you don't understand. I'm only choosing Claudia, she is very talented and I'm really impressed. Claudia, do you want me to be your trainer? -Yes of course! It would be amazing. - said Claudia The course finished and she continued studying a sports degree at the university. She kept training and practising to improve even more, and she started participating in competitions. They weren't very important at first, but afterwards she started competing in important competitions. Claudia felt very good because she had always loved athletics but because of her problem, she didn't have enough confidence, and she had always thought that she wasn't capable of doing that sport. But thanks to the trainer who had chosen her, even though he could have chosen any other student, she felt proud of herself and she gained confidence. She started thinking that she could do anything making a big effort. A few years later, after lots of hours and days of training, making a huge effort, falling again and again, but never giving up, she made it. She won lots of medals and awards, and she became famous and a role model to other people who weren't confident with themselves. After seeing that she was such a role model for many people, she thought that she could create a foundation for people who had physical disabilities, because they had the right to follow their dreams and don't listen to people who discriminate them just because they are different. She just wanted to help. They created a big team, lot of people joined the foundation and gained confidence. They became very famous and important and everyone knew them. A few years later, when she was one of the best athletes with disabilities in the world and she was very famous, the teachers of the high school she had gone when she was little asked her to come back and give a speech about her story. She accepted and she explained to the students her story. She told them that they don't have to discriminate anyone just because they are different because we are all different, and that’s what makes us special. Moral of the story This is an example of why we can not discriminate other people just because they are different from us. We all have things that make us special and unique. Diversity is beautiful and if we were all the same life would be boring. Furthermore, judging people because of their appearance is a big mistake.
