an old creasy photo out of his pocket and compared the woman on it with the waitress. They looked
exactly the same, except for the wrinkles on the woman’s face opposite him. He had had this photo
since he was 5-years-old when one of the women working in the orphanage, gave it to him. She’d told
him that it was a picture of his mother who had left it with him as a baby . Igor decided to find some
information about the waitress . Suddenly he saw Margaret - the oldest cook working in the restaurant.
He went to her and asked who the waitress was. Margaret answered that her name was Victoria and
she had been working there for fourteen years. Igor wanted to know if Victoria had had a baby thirteen
years ago. Margaret wasn't absolutely sure but said that she remembered something like that. But she
had never seen the child. Igor thought that this was a trace so he immediately confronted the waitress.
When Victoria saw the boy in front of her, he asked what he wanted. Igor took out the photo and
questioned the waitress if that's her. Victoria was surprised and frightened so she impulsively lied and
said no. She shouted at the boy to not bother her and to get out. Igor went out of the restaurant deeply
frustrated. He understood that his mother was leaving him alone again but relying on his tenacity he
motivated himself to succeed. He started studying hard thanks to his scholarship. Years past and he
graduated. He was exceptionally good at Maths and Physics. He became nuclear physicist and got very
rich. He worked at nuclear plant and earned a lot of money. He got married to a girl which he fell in
love with at college. They were expecting a baby. One Saturday afternoon Igor and his pregnant wife,
Todorka, went to the restaurant his mother once worked in. While having her meal, Todorka felt a
severe pain in the abdomen. Victoria, who still worked there, came to help and encourage Todorka to
give birth to the baby. While Victoria was supporting the woman, she recognized her son, Igor, who
was calling 112 for an ambulance. Soon the help arrived. They got the parents to the hospital where the
baby was finally born. It was healthy, without any complications. Three days later, an unexpected
guest visited the young family. It was Victoria. Igor was shocked. He still did not know his mother had
helped his wife. Todorka recognized the lady from the restaurant, thanked her and introduced her to
her husband, finding out they already knew each other. After all these years, Victoria had understood
the mistakes she had made in the past and regretted it. She decided to take advantage of the situation
and apologize to Igor. He forgave her about the past, but still could not call her a Mom. Time passed
and soon their relationship improved. Victoria loved spending time with her new family and especially
with her grandson. She was finally happy. They supported each other and the bright future was in front
of them.
