The next day, after school i went again to that forest with Alex. I had decided to try those “drugs”. At first I was nervous about that decision but after all I hit the joint and that’s when my life changed. I liked it! It made me really calm and quite happier. So I repeated this procedure the next day, then the day after that and again and so on. For the first time in my life I was happy. My social life was at its peak. I met new people and had more friends than ever. I was finally a “cool” kid. Even Alex started to like me and later she became my girlfriend. But then… one day everything changed. After my daily dose of weed I felt completely different. Later they told me that the dealers had mixed up the weed with cocaine I didn’t know how to react. After that my life went down. One night I was thinking about the possible consequences in my life, so I decided to ask my teacher for a piece of advice. She talked a lot with me and I realized that it wasn't too late for a change.Few days after that I broke up with Alexandra and started visiting a therapist. With the help of my teacher I gradually stopped doing drugs. My future became brighter! With this story we want to tell you that you are not an alien in this world and it is never too late for a change! “There is not a drug on Earth that can make life meaningful“ - Sarah Kane Article 33 Drug Abuse Authors: Nikola K, Nikol, Zornitsa, Teodora, Antoniya, Kristian J (Ivan Vazov Language School, Plovdiv, Plovdiv, Bulgaria) Illustrations: FEDAC Manresa Spain
