Moving Forward!
(A Report of Ministerial Happenings in Blessing Youth
Mission during the Period from
April 2015 to
March 2016)
We bring you greetings in the name of our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ. It has been a great joy to
report what God has done from April 2015 to March
2016. This includes the 'Year of Victory', and the 'Year
of Holy Spirit Revival.' This period has been a chapter
of big events with God the Holy Spirit moving in our
fields. Surely, God has begun His work.
Bishop Heber College, Trichy from 21st of May to
24th. There were 1150 registered participants of which
most of them were first-timers and 250 were youth. The
move of the Spirit was seen in a very strange way in the
whole camp. As an outcome of the camp,
137 Prayer Groups were formed;
57 Outreach Teams were mobilized;
25 Pledge Partners were raised &
61 responded to the missionary call. All Glory to
Him!
The 'National Staff Retreat (NSR) - 2015'
became a memorable event. All the missionary families
along with their children gathered at Sitteri hills, our
first mission field, from 19th to 23rd October 2015. We
witnessed the care of God for His servants by His
servants. It was a joyful occasion to see our retired
missionaries bringing gifts for the present missionaries.
We could also do the complete medical check-up for all
the missionaries during NSR.
We introduced 'Mentorship' in our Mission
through a programme called, 'Staff Individual
Mentorship Programme.' 21 senior missionary
families were trained to take care of the 395 staff.
For the first time in Assam we organized Blesso
at Napuk. Around 350 people participated and were
challenged to reach their own State for God. The
Annual Camp, Blesso 2015 in Tamil Nadu was held in
Holy Spirit Revival and New Testament
Evangelism is a God given slogan for Blessing Youth
Mission. Even as the year 2016 was declared as the,
'Year of Holy Spirit Revival.' Mission arranged special
programmes to empower God's people to fulfil His
purpose.
'Prayer' and 'Resources' are the two important
pillars of 'Missionary Sending.' And our partners,
sponsors, key-persons, collectors, lay leaders did their
part to strengthen these two pillars. 'The Tamil Nadu
Ministerial Team (TMT)' which was formed during
the last period, played its part in strengthening the
partner base in Tamil Nadu. They had systematic
programmes all through the year.
Missionaries who are working in the Northern
States were invited by the adopted district partners in
Tamil Nadu for a period of one week (1st to 7th
February). 35 missionaries from 10 states visited 20
different districts in Tamil Nadu. They visited 137
partners' houses, spoke in 45 Churches and 16
