bymonline.org | November 2018 A Life Worth Lived Mrs. Elizabeth Kanthi, w/o late Rev.A.S.Kanthi (1920-1990), who was fondly called as 'Salomakka' in Hubli was transferred to glory on 31st August 2018 at the age of 87. She was the dear mother of our missionary Ruth Manivannan. We praise God for her exemplary life and ministry. As a Pastor's wife she was an ardent supporter of her husband. Most of their service was in rural North Karnataka. She retired as a Nursing Superintendent from Karnataka Medical College Hospital at Hubbali. She received the 'Best Nurse' award. Her sincerity, dedication and discipline were much appreciated in her department as well as in the society. She did her best to get the medical help to our field missionaries and believers. Her love for the missionaries can never be over- emphasised. She was an ardent fund raiser for the Mission. Her house was an open house. She was like a mother to all our missionaries in Karnataka. She regularly prayed for the missionaries and kids. After her retirement, reading the Bible and praying for more than half a day was her regular practice. She had the honor of dedicating our renovated worship-shed at Nagarahalli near Alnavar in Karnataka. She also had the honor of dedicating Bro. Stanley's book, 'Bible Treasure' in Kannada at Hubli just an year before her home call. All her five children, 3 boys and 2 girls are in fulltime Christian ministry. Her eldest grand-daughter is serving as a Missionary Doctor in Uttar Pradesh. Thank God for her life of inspiration. What a legacy and a multi- generational vision! page 14
